QR Codes

What is a QR Code?
this new technology is quickly growing in popularity. It is the next generation of bar codes. QR stands for Quick Response.  A QR Code looks like this.

QR-SAMPLE

QR Codes bring information to your mobile smart phone, think of them as similar to a bar code that your cashier would scan at your local grocery store - only a QR code can hold more information.  Once scanned, a QR code can direct you to a website giving you information on a product, company or service, or even a YouTube video, saving you from the cumbersome task of typing the web address into your phone.

How do I use my smart phone to scan a QR Code?
In order to scan a QR Code, you must have a QR Code Reader installed on your smart phone (most available at no cost).  If you have a BlackBerry or iPhone, visit your App Store and search for “QR Code” – there are several apps that you can install.  If you do not have a BlackBerry or iPhone, we recommend visiting one of the following sites for assistance in obtaining a QR code reader for your phone.

BeeTagg ( http://www.beetagg.com/ )
Kaywa (http://reader.kaywa.com/getit )

Once installed, use the application to scan the QR code with your phone’s built in camera.  The code reader will then display the scanned information.

Holm Realty Application
Scan a QR code found on a Holm Realty FOR SALE sign, and you will be taken directly to a MLS® listing of the property displaying description and price.

How do I get a QR code for my property?
QR Codes are offered as a service to all Holm Realty clients.
